Project overview
Our aim is to build a user-friendly web app for patients, especially those undergoing surgeries, to enhance their medical journey. Key features include pre-appointment surveys, appointment management, medication tracking, provider communication, feedback collection, and educational resources. Our goals are to boost patient engagement, improve preparedness, enhance communication, and gather feedback to create a patient-centered experience that improves outcomes.
What I use
Design Challenge
Our design challenge was to create a web application that seamlessly integrated into the healthcare journey of patients, enhancing their experience from appointment scheduling to post-operative care. We aimed to address the complex needs of users, including busy schedules, information accessibility, and effective communication with healthcare providers. Our task was to design a solution that not only simplified these processes but also empowered users to actively engage in their healthcare journey and make informed decisions about their health.
How we did it...
Design Process
Our design process is a collaborative journey guided by creativity and user-focused thinking. We begin by understanding user needs and market trends, then brainstorm ideas to address them. Through prototyping and testing, we refine our concepts based on real feedback. Our design and development teams work together to create user-friendly interfaces. We iterate and improve until our product is ready to launch, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Who is a customer?
User Persona
We discovered Sarah, a busy marketing manager facing a cataract diagnosis. Her story showed us the challenges patients like her face in healthcare. Inspired by her journey, we're building a web app to make healthcare easier, giving patients like Sarah the support and information they need to feel confident and empowered.

What I use
Wireframes
Imagine a blank canvas awaiting the strokes of a visionary artist. Wireframing is akin to sketching the blueprint of our digital masterpiece, mapping out the structure and layout of our interfaces with simplicity and clarity. With each stroke, we bring our ideas to life, guiding the journey from concept to creation with precision and purpose.
What I use
High Fidelity wireframes
High-fidelity wireframes are the digital blueprints of our design vision, where every pixel is meticulously crafted to reflect the richness and detail of our final product. These wireframes breathe life into our concepts, showcasing the intricate interactions, visual elements, and user flows with stunning realism. With each screen, we paint a vivid picture of the user experience, paving the way for seamless execution and exceptional outcomes.

What I use
User Testing
We went beyond testing with developers and QA by also engaging real users in our process. Through moderated and unmoderated sessions, we had people from our target audience try out our prototypes in various scenarios. Their feedback helped us understand what worked well, what didn't, and what users preferred. This approach ensured our designs were user-friendly and aligned with what our audience wanted, leading to better outcomes.
